Nike sued Japanese fashion company BAPE (A Bathing Ape) Wednesday for the copyright infringement of several Nike styles. Shoes in question include Nike Air Force 1, Nike Dunks and Air Jordans. Nike asked courts to prohibit BAPE from making any more sneaker sales. “BAPE’s copying is and always has been unacceptable to Nike. Because BAPE’s infringements have recently grown to become a significant danger to Nike’s rights, Nike must act now,” says lawsuit.
