Foot Locker is planning on closing 400 mall stores by 2026. It will be focusing on “experiential” new store concepts as it strives to be more relevant to a younger demographic. This move will also do away with under preforming mall locations. The North America stores account for nearly 10% of Foot Locker total sales. Globally Foot Locker operates about 3,000 Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports, WSS and Atmos stores.
