Last week we gave a detailed look at the Nike Dunk Low “Virgil Abloh x Futura Laboratories,”a collab by fashion designer Virgil Abloh and artist Futura so unique that only eights pairs were available via Sotheby’s auction. Well the results are in!! A whopping $107,950 USD was dropped on a pair of size 12 in the more popular orange colorway. 50 times more than the projected numbers. Other staggering numbers include $57,150 USD for a pair of size 6 orange. The powdered blue colorway bought in slightly less but still impressive numbers with a pair of size 5 selling for $25,400 USD and a size 11 selling for a staggering $82,550 USD. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Virgil Abloh Foundation.
