The “Alpha” iteration of the Air Jordan 1 dropped in 2007 as a tribute to the early days of Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand. The colorway honors the University of North Carolina, where Jordan played in college. The midfoot panel also sports a print of Jordan playing at UNC.
