With the Air Max Penny 1 “Lil Penny,” Nike pays tribute to Anfernee Penny Hardaway’s pint-sized costar from the brand’s famous ‘90s ads, voiced by comedian Chris Rock.
Penny’s original signature basketball shoe features contrasting white and Deep Royal Blue on the upper, accented with pops of Gym Red on the jewel Swoosh, Air heel unit, mid-panel piping, and Swoosh embroidery on the tongue.
Lil Penny’s ‘Pros’ team, alongside his ½ jersey number, is embroidered on the heel. Released back in June of 2018 the Air Max Penny 1 “Lil Penny” is only available through GOAT and select retailers.
