Born November 30th, 1962 Vincent Edward “Bo” Jackson is the only pro athlete in history to be named All-Star in two different American sports leagues, thus making him one of the greatest athletes in history.
Jackson attended Auburn University from 1982 until 1986, winning the Walter Camp Award, SEC Player of the Year and Heisman Trophy.
Kansas City Royals
It was in September of 1986 that Jackson made his MLB debut for the Kansas City Royals, playing until 1990. His statistics included a .250 batting average, 141 home runs and 415 RBI.
Los Angles Raiders
Jackson signed to the Los Angles Raiders in 1987. With an exclusive 5 year $7.4 million contract, the first and only of its kind, Jackson would be able to play the entire MLB season with the Royals and then report to the Raiders once the season was over, even if it meant missing NFL games.
